In my design engineer role at Progressive, I work closely with the industrial designers and product managers to develop concepts, evaluate designs for functionality and manufacturability, and drive communication with overseas factories to ensure products look and work as expected. My knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods has been very beneficial, along with my prior experience working with overseas vendors.
The wide variety of tools and gadgets that Progressive makes keeps things interesting — one morning I could be validating a leakproof seal and by afternoon working on design of a multi-function slicing device. All products are designed to make cooking fun and easy, helping people of any skill level create what they imagine.
